More Music/Quest Journal?
Hello peoples,
Well as I was just playin' last night and I ran into a few ideas I thought would be pretty nice, and they wouldn't affect the players as a whole really just make the experience more enjoyable.
The first is for there to be more sorts of music and some better music in the areas that you fight in. In the trailers and videos they've got some pretty neat music goin', but when you get in-game it gets sort of boring and repetitive. I personally would just like to see more music in the game, more varied music anyway, I don't want the same music in both the northern and southern shiverpeaks, and I would like to hear more of the stuff that's in the trailers, I mean, suttle repetitive music is alright because people listen to their own anyways, just thought it would be nice to have more music in the game.
The second idea, which I'll say was NOT mine, it was from a friend of mine. Is to have sort of a "quest/mission journal". That allows the player to view which missions/quests he's already done, whether or not he did the bonus, and so forth. I know it's pretty common in my guild to ask someone else "Have you done the "insert quest" quest?" And then the response is usually "Uh, I can't really remember, I might have." However, it would be a lot easier and more convinient if one could say, push "L" to view the quests/missions they have open to them, and then while that menu's up say, push "J" and it would take you to a list of quests you've already completed, so you know what you've done and what you haven't.
Just some simple things to make it easier in-game to communicate/get a better feel of it all.
Cheers.

Agreed and agreed...
More music... just a necessity
And the journal of all quests completed would be nice...
Great suggestions

I'd like to keep this bumped to get more opinions in, these seem like simple ideas that could actually be implemented into the game, and I'd like to see that happen.
Anyone else feel the need for more music and perhaps a listing of completed quests/missions?

God damn they're fast. I post on the 2nd, they respond on the 3rd with more music.
Now all we need is a journal and some beer and we'll be all set.

Thing is we used to have a completed quest log way back in the early betas. Not sure why it was quite taken out. I mean back then it was fairly useless as you didn't have all teh quests you do now and you could run thru them all countless times during a weekend.
But that they have added the known thing to the skilltrainers i think they may be inclined to reinstate the completed quest log. But personnaly i would agree with them that i would like to see the new content like sorrows and footprint soon. But can't you have one guy just dig thru the old code and adapt a new completed log thing as he hads free time?

An idea for the quests log.
Hello, I am new to this forum and this is my first post. I was reading some of the other discussions earlier today and decided i'd list my own ideas. I personally love storylineing in all thing. Because of this i was thinking perhaps the devs could implement some form of completed quests log. I was thinking about a second tab on your quest log menu that lists all the quests you've already done. Also with this it would be nice to have the nps text from those encounters available through this same menu. This way if someone ever missed what the npc said and wanted to figure out what exactly happened they could just check their quest history. Its just a nice feature i'd like to see. Any comments?

1) use search you sill find this several times already
2)it used to be in the game back in early beta. no one from what i can tell knows why it was removed.
3)most people want it back, but very few want it to take precendence over new content like grenths footprint and sorrows furnace

Any information on it
If it was here, and its gone now, does anyone have any information on weather or nor a-net is intending to return it. even if its just part of the expansion or whatever i'd still like to see it. I dont want to sound like an idiot or anything but i'd like to push for this particular thing because for me a game is ALL about its story line.
I know at some point it will end and that will make playing back through with other professions a bit of a bore but thats what guilds, pvp, and exploration is for. Just my 2 cents i guess, I doubt a petition would work so if anyone could give me any idea on how to get this reimplemented i'd be very appreciative.
Edit: Spelling Correction

I couldn't agree more... It would be very helpful to have a list of completed quests so that one could see which quests they have already completed. It could also be used as a reference when you see other players posting "in game calls" for players to do a quest that your not sure if you've completed yet. Then you could check to see if you had done that one yet or not.

I agree, then maybe I'd be able to make a list of all the quests in the game compared to the quests I've done, incase I missed some. I went to do Last Day Dawns at the frontier gate and noticed that there were 2 other quests I hadn't done and was like, woah... "Find Prince Rurik" lol. He's already dead according to my storyline so far.

Well being that I'm not a total asshole, I suppose I'll not lock the more recent thread and just merge it with the one that was originally created by yours truly.
Threads merged.

Well they have 2 music packs, but I don't plan on buying the other one. Suggesting more sounds is equivilent to asking for more stuff you have to pay for. So unless you're willing ot buy it, I'm not going to ask. Even though it would be nice because the sound in this game sucks.
